About Me
With a robust academic record in university teaching and a distinguished research profile, I have authored over 10 academic papers, many of which I led as the first author. These publications have garnered hundreds citations, reflecting their impact in the academic community. My PhD work, focused on developing cutting-edge systems for identifying and assessing crisis-related tweets, achieved the highest performance at the TREC Incident Streams, a research initiative hosted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, U.S. This accomplishment underscores my expertise in computational linguistics and crisis response technologies. Additionally, I bring valuable industrial research experience from my work at Huawei Ireland Research Institute. My dedication to research is complemented by a keen attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and an enthusiasm for open-source projects and architectural design.
